About

I am a social psychology PhD Candidate at the School of Psychological Sciences, University of Melbourne. My research focuses on the function of aesthetic judgments and their role in morality. Specifically, I am interested in the link between ugliness judgments and the disease-avoidance system, the role of beauty and ugliness judgments in moral standing attributions, as well as the psychological mechanisms underlying the Beauty-is-Good stereotype and the stigmatization of people with facial differences. I primarily work with Prof. Brock Bastian and Dr. Katharine Greenaway
